- Our History
Who we are?
Give Back to the Children Project is a empowerment program aimed at bringing children in the United States and Africa up to the speed of the digital age. It was formed by Abdul Sesay a Sierra Leone national soccer team player along with several dedicated students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Our primary goal is to build modern learning centers in various communities throughout our local communities and in the West African country of Sierra Leone, and running after school program in different communities in California. Without computers, the internet and the skills to use them, these children are largely disconnected from the rest of the world; and in the era of globalization, that is an condemned place to be. We hope to be able to expand the program to neighboring countries once we become established in our local communities in California. We believe promoting technology education in our local communities and Africa will reverse its trajectory of increasing poverty, governmental corruption and environmental decline.
